Another year is about to end! And that means that here I come to share with you all the books I read in 2017 and how many stars I gave each.
This year was kind of different for me because I read more non-fiction books, but I guess it was what I needed at the time. I’ve struggled to find new fiction books that keep me interested throughout the story, so I believe this upcoming year would be the time for me to really go out of my comfort zone.
Anyway, here’s what I read in 2017:
I’m happy to announce that I didn’t read a book that deserved only one star. The Return Knight in Rusty Armor was close, though.

12 MONTHS / 12 QUOTES
I chose one quote out of the books I read each month. I hope you like them!
JANUARY
«How very odd, to believe God gave you life, and yet not think that life asks more of you than watching TV.»
FEBRUARY
“Maybe you have been beating yourself up because it has taken you a long time to recover your focus and your faith. I’m pretty sure that’s called being human.”
MARCH
“Never trust anyone when they’re emotional, Senator. Not even yourself.”
APRIL
“On those days when God feels far away, or at those times when your doubts seem stronger than His voice, I hope these books will remind you that Christianity is true, in spite of whatever you’re going through.”
MAY
“Allie, someday you are going to die.
And you are going to get to the gates of heaven and Jesus is going to meet you there. He is going to welcome you in and take your hand in his and he’s going to say, ‘Allie, you sure did a lot for me. You were constantly going and constantly serving and constantly working. I saw that. Thank you for that.
But now it’s my turn, Allie. Now I want us to do something that I have wanted to do with you for a very, very long time . . . Let’s go for a walk.’”
JUNE
“One of the most repeated commands in Scripture is ‘Remember’, because it is so easy to forget.”
JULY
“No one will know your heart if you refuse to speak.”
AUGUST
“The law of probability combined with the law of large numbers states that to beat the odds, sometimes you have to repeat an event an increasing number of times in order to get you to the outcome you desire. The more you do, the closer you get. Or… basically, sometimes you just have to keep going.”
SEPTEMBER
“Sometimes love needed to be put into words. Other times words got in the way, and a touch or a hug, or just belonging, said more than enough.”
OCTOBER
“I am now convinced love turns a man into an idiot.”
NOVEMBER
“It’s a pleasant thing, sometimes, to be surprised.”
DECEMBER
“The greatest way to live with honor in this world is to be what we pretend to be.” Socrates
There you have it! Did you enjoy your books in 2017? I hope you did!
Thanks for letting me share with you what I read/learn each month. See you in 2018!
