Well… that would be hard for sure.

There are millions of English-speaking christian africans who love God and want to learn more about Him. However, almost every single resource they have it’s written from the viewpoint of the United States and the United Kingdom.

They can’t relate with the illustrations. They don’t quite understand how some truths apply to them. They’ve been learning from people that don’t have a clue how their cultures work.

The result? Africans are finding God’s word hard to grasp.

That’s why some major christian organizations, led by Oasis International, are joining together to launch the Africa Study Bible (Tyndale House, 2016): the very first study Bible created by Africans for Africans.

350 writers and editors from 40 different countries, representing 50 denominations, have allowed this project to come alive!

The ASB uses the New Living Translation and includes notes, stories, touchpoints that link Africa and Bible, and so much more.

Since the editorial is nearly complete, Oasis International and partners are inviting fellow christians to help them in the process of handing this Bible to the Africans.

Oasis needs to raise 1,000,000 $ for printing the first 100,000 copies. They’re seeking private donors as well as launching a Kickstarter campaign, which began on April 18th and runs through June 16.

All contributors to Kickstarter will receive the amazing reward of being part of this great project as well as some incentives ranging from artwork to all-expense paid trips to the launch of the ASB in the United States and in Africa!

Millions of people in Africa can hardly wait for their leaders to have this incredible resource and the good news is that God can use us to make it possible! No contribution is too little or too big.
