You call me out

You call me out upon the waters
the great unknown where feet may fail

God’s calling.

Exciting. Scary. Inviting.

You’re amazed because you’re chosen. Chosen to do something for him.

An unique task has been placed on your shoulders.

We all love that.

Standing on a crowd knowing that you’re perfect for a job God’s prepared for you.

However, having a passion in your heart and living that passion out are two very different things, aren’t they?

Knowing the Lord has a purporse specifically for your life is great!

Stepping out that knowledge and doing something about it… well, that’s risky. It requires a lot courage and faith.

Will I be good enough? Will people understand? What if I’m mistaken? What if I did not hear from God? What if others judge me?

The moment the dream God has for you is exposed and everyone can see it, worry and doubt and insecurity have a way to get to you.

Your Heavenly Father is calling you upon the waters, you’ve always felt it and you’re dying to live it… but when He encourages you to take the first step toward it, that’s when you’re more conscious than ever that your feet may fail.

Oceans are deep.

What if you don’t have what it takes?

I’ve understood this whole thing because of the season I’m going through right now. I love communicating the Word of God all the ways words allow me (but singing, haha), it’s my passion.

When I consider the longing for it in my heart, that’s exciting; but, the moment I have to work that longing out, I get self-concious.

My feet may fail.

If I speak or write and let others see it, people can and will judge, I might say something wrong, I could perform poorly, I may forget my focus… I’m exposed and that’s intimidating.

So, the temptation of leaving that passion locked in my heart is way too great since there are a lot of risks I would avoid.

I can be safe knowing there’s a calling upon the waters for me, I’m special for something and stop right there.

No failure is possible if I do nothing.

The thing is I don’t like it that way.

I don’t want to be safe.

I want to risk it even if it means my voice would be shaking and I’ll perform less than perfect.

For the sake of living out the passion God’s placed in my heart, I’m willing to take the step toward that ocean and see what happens.

Here’s my longing, here’s my life, I won’t promise I’ll feel brave all the way but by the mercy of God I’m pretending to do all what He expects me to do.

And I bet you want to do just that.

Good news? God will be with us and for us in this journey so let’s take that step!

Take me deeper than my feet could ever wander
And my faith will be made stronger
In the presence of my Savior
